Lactodensimètre de précision. étude et réalisation
LUCETTE MARTELLI and P. NAVELLIERLaboratoire Municipal de Paris
Abstract - It is useful, for the determination of the total solids of a milk, to know the fourth decimal of its specific gravity. Now, usually, this decimal is not shown on the commercial lactohydrometers; its determination is the aim of this work. The application to milk of hydrostatic and pycnometric reference methods is made clear. So tested milks are used to grade a precision lactohydrometer. This instrument and the corresponding cylinder are circumstantially described. This thermolactohydromerer is particularly characterized by a new scale fitted with colour rings intended to make easy the direct reading of the fourth decimal of the specific gravity.
