G. GENIN Abstract - The discovery of lactic acid goes back about two hundred years. Its industrial manufacture began about eighty years ago and was based on carbohydrate fermentation. Its purification involves certain difficulties.
The direct uses of lactic acid and its derivatives are very numerous
