Abstract - We have sought to find a specific inhibition that would easily separate a mixed culture (yoghourt), Streptococcus lactis and Lactobacillus bulgaricus. We have thus shown that bromothymol blue and methyl green make possible sure and easy isolations. On the other hand the mineral salts with which we experimented did not give constant results.
